The Need For Social Housing In The UK Is Growing

Funding for Housing PLC (‘FFH’), a not-for-profit social housing funding platform, today announces a groundbreaking initiative that has the potential to transform the landscape of UK social housing. The bond seeks to create new social housing stock to meet the shortfall of 77,000 new homes each year and has been designed to feature no bankruptcy or planning risk, with cashflows underwritten by the UK government and which provide a saving to UK taxpayers.

 

Investment Committee​

The investment committee is structurally independent, and separately remunerated. It is comprised of highly regarded individuals from diverse backgrounds – each representing different constituencies and different perspectives with reputations in their sector for probity and professionalism. The IC serves as a gatekeeper for all investment decisions within Funding for Housing.

Helena Giles

Head of Trustee Services of Truva Corp and will sit on the independent investment committee as Truva’s representative. Helena has worked for independent and bank trustee providers for over 20 years, where she acquired experience in structured finance and loan agency products. She has worked with issuers, borrowers, and their respective counterparties on new issuance and refinancing transactions.

Barry Roche

A Royal Marine with over 20 years of experience in applying data to security and legal analysis within international and UK markets. Barry has established, run and advised a number of high profile business in the UK and abroad including Lloyds Register and Rosenblatt Lawyers. .





Jon Milward

An experienced advisor with 30 years of experience with the UK Real Estate Market. Jon was formerly Deloitte’s UK Head of Real Estate Development. Jon advises and is on the Boards of a number of Institutional, Government, Private and Public Sector Bodies.

Richard Fryer

Joins FFHs IC with nearly 40 years of experience within the UK residential and development markets. He currently leads BMOR’s Social housing strategy and brings invaluable industry connections, experience and knowledge from years of working with local authorities, registered housing providers and charities
